The multi-disciplinary counseling staff at The Family Center includes mental health professionals representing the disciplines of clinical social work, mental health counseling, community counseling, and marriage and family therapy. Our counselors utilize a variety of evidence based approaches to assist individuals, couples, families and children who are seeking to improve their quality of life. We’re here to assess problems, provide education and skills to enhance personal growth and relationships, and explore solutions.
In Memory of Lakeisha Williams, MS, APC
Lakeisha was a true angel on earth. She was an exceptional therapist and a gift to all. She was smart, funny, gracious, kind, gentle and always had a smile on her face—a smile that could light up a room. We will miss Lakeisha dearly and she will remain forever in our hearts.

FAMILY COUNSELING OF COLUMBUS – COUNSELOR TRAINING PROGRAM INTERNS
Counseling interns who are completing their final requirements for their professional degree work at Family Counseling of Columbus for their field placement and training. During this field training – which can be thought of as being similar to a residency program for medical students – counseling interns work very closely with other licensed counselors in the Family Counseling of Columbus program, as well as an on-site clinical supervisor and their University supervisor to provide the same quality of effective counseling to their clients. The benefit to clients is that you have multiple professionals having input into the counseling you receive – when it comes to solving problems, more heads are better than one! Counseling Interns work with clients on our sliding fee scale – they cannot bill insurance.
